Ref: Bid Manager/Wolverhampton

Salary: £38,000 to £45,000

Help shape the bids that grow our business.

ND Brown is a family-owned business with roots going back to 1980. From our head office in Wolverhampton and six depots across the UK, we’ve built a strong track record and we’re looking for a Bid Writer to help us win new work and retain our valued customers.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of bids from the first discussion through to submission. You’ll turn input from colleagues across the business into clear, persuasive responses that show customers why ND Brown is the right choice. You’ll also help shape our bid strategy and improve the tools we use to pursue future opportunities.

What you'll do:
•    Manage PQQs and tenders from initial review to final submission, keeping contributors and deadlines on track.
•    Write tailored, high-quality responses for public and private sector customers.
•    Work with the Sales Team & Directors to identify what matters most to each customer & develop a compelling approach to each bid.
•    Lead bid kick-off calls, agree timelines and coordinate input from teams across the business.
•    Check submissions against customer requirements, internal standards and ND Brown branding.
•    Build and maintain a useful bid library, improve proposal materials and keep accurate records.
•    Support Account Managers with day-to-day bid queries.
•    Coordinate applications and renewals for accreditations such as Constructionline, Achilles, ALLMI and CLOCS.

What you'll bring:
•    Strong communication, organisation and time-management skills.
•    The ability to think strategically and pay close attention to detail.
•    Confidence using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Experience in the commercial vehicle industry would be welcome, but is not essential.

Interested?
If you enjoy turning complex information into convincing proposals and want to make a visible contribution to a family-owned business, we would like to hear from you.

Work authorisation:
•    United Kingdom (required)
