We have a vacancy for a workshop-based commercial vehicle technician at our depot in Plean, Stirling. You will be working on a range of Commercial Vehicles including tippers, tipper grabs, and hot boxes ranging from 7.2 to 32-tonne GVM.

Job role:

• Mobile HGV Technician – South-East

Requirements:

• A full current driver’s licence (class 2 HGV licence would be beneficial).
• Hold qualifications in HGV/Commercials Mechanics to the equivalent of NVQ Level 3/City of Guilds/Full Main Dealership Apprenticeship.
• Hold a current and valid IRTEC card/licence.
• Own tools and toolbox.

The role will involve:

• Working on a range of Commercial Vehicles including 4X4, Tippers, Tipper/Grabs and Hotboxes ranging from 2.5T – 32T GVM.
• Carrying out routine safety inspections at our client’s depot or at an agreed safe location during their working day.
• Maintain your own service van including servicing, repairs and stock control.
• Attend breakdowns and arrange attendance to defects identified during safety inspections or reported by our clients during their driver’s daily walk arounds.
• Out of hours call out 1 in 9.

Location:

• This role is ideally suited to someone located within 50 miles of our Borough Green depot, although this is not essential. The successful candidate will report to the Area Manager at our Borough Green depot.

Full Time:

• Monday to Friday – 7.30 am-5.00 pm
