From busy motorways and adjoining trunk roads, to city streets right down to a winding country lane, the hot box is essential for heating asphalt and keeping it at the optimum temperature for working. For smaller roads and surface areas there is the 7.5 tonne, giving good manoeuvrability. At the other end of the scale for bulk applications like on a motorway, there is the 26 tonne GVW with a fifteen tonne payload split between twin chambers.
